"Jessie" is a hit piano rock single from the album "Painted Desert Serenade", released in 1993. The song was performed by Joshua Kadison. The song describes his tumultuous relationship with Sarah Jessica Parker in the early 1990s and their cat Moses.It's often incorrectly attributed to the late John Denver or sometimes Elton John. That's because the "piano rock" style of the tune and Joshua's vocals sounds very much like Elton's.

The song was covered by Netherlands teen star Jim Bakkum (of "Idols" fame).
