The stadium has also hosted international underage games. It hosts approximately 80 games over the course of each year, with between 25 to 30 of these fixtures affiliated to Galway United. The majority of the remaining games are junior soccer fixtures. Terryland Park underwent redevelopment in 1993 and as a result Galway United played in Crowley Park, the home of rugby sideGalwegians , for one season. The stadium received a €500,000 grant from the Irish Government in 2006, the money going towards further development works, chief of which was the building of a new 1,500-seater stand.New Stand
A new stand in Terryland Park was opened in July 2007 and raised Terryland Park's seated capacity to 2,900 and overall capacity from the current 3,500 to 5,000. Work continues and it is planned that the new stand will include a shop unit,
turnstile s, medical examination andfirst-aid rooms, toilets, showers, dressing-rooms, a match delegates' room, officials' dressing-room, a new media and reception room, a canteen with facilities for press conference, and tv and radio place.External links
