Auburn, Ontario

Auburn is a village in the southwestern part of the Canadian province of Ontario.

History

Auburn was first settled in 1848 by Eneas Elkin, an Irish immigrant. In 1858, the area was surveyed as the village of Manchester. In 1907, Canadian Pacific built a rail line near the village and named their stop Auburn. The village gradually assumed the name as well.
