Biography

Masucci was born in Novara in the Piedmont region of northwest Italy.[1] His acting career began with supporting roles in Italian Repertory Theater. His first leading role came in 1995 in Florence as "Enrico" in the stage adaptation of "La Stangata". His performance was recognized with the Cicognini Youth Award in Theater.

Shortly thereafter Masucci made his screen debut in cinema and television appearing in fewer stage productions and dedicating more time to a literary career. At age 19 Masucci relocated to the United States where he wrote the stage play "Stargazing" and the screenplays for the short films "A Short One", "Rotting Dancers" and "happiending". The later which he also directed was awarded the Jury Award at the 2009 Durango Independent Film Festival in Colorado, Colorado.[2] His acting credits include roles in Garry Marshall's Raising Helen (2004) and opposite Gary Sinise in CSI: NY (2004).[3]

Masucci's directorial debut came in 2007 with the short film Rotting Dancers, a mockumentary detailing the struggle of a film director documenting a flamboyant group of dancers.[4] He directed his second film, "happiending" the following year. His most recent directing and writing work is the feature film titled Noise Matters.[5] According to his company's website (indso.com), the film's principal photography was completed in the summer of 2009 and the film is schedules for completion in the fall of 2011.
