Men's Health Forum is a charity based in England and Wales. Its mission is to provide an independent and authoritative voice for male health and to tackle the issues affecting the health and well-being of boys and men.
The MHF was founded in 1994. It was set up by the Royal College of Nursing but became completely independent of the RCN when it was established as a registered charity in 2001. It is now an independent body with an active membership working with a wide range of individuals and organisations to develop health services that meet men's needs and enable men to change their risk-taking behaviours. The President is Dr Ian Banks; the Chief Executive is Peter Baker; and the chair of trustees is Professor Alan White from the Centre for Men's Health at Leeds Metropolitan University.
It lobbies policy-makers, runs projects, carries out research, coordinates Men’s Health Week and runs two websites including the award-winning health information site malehealth.co.uk.
