Ivy (아이비) (born 박은혜 (Park Eunhye), November 7 1982) is a K-pop singer who debuted in 2005 with the album "Vol. 1 - My Sweet and Free Day". The album was a minor hit and after a one year's hiatus, she released her second album "Vol. 2 - A Sweet Moment", which spawned the #1 hit "Sonata Of Temptation." Ivy has been known to encounter major controversy due to her music video being often too suggestive. She was educated at the Dongduk Women's University.

Career

Ivy debuted in 2005 with the single "오늘밤 일" ("What Happened Tonight"). The official second single "A ha.." was also an uptempo/R&B single; the dance routine was famously parodied by Park Kyung Lim on "X-Man". Around the same time, Ivy also promoted "바본가봐" ("I Am A Fool"), a ballad, which was performed in conjunction with "A ha..". The album placed 48th for the year. On February 12, 2007, Ivy's second album, "Vol. 2 - A Sweet Moment", was released, with the lead single "유혹의 소나타" ("Sonata of Temptation") featuring Wheesung, performing very well on the charts. Despite this, the song's music video has caused controversy, as it recreates a fight scene between Tifa and Loz from "Final Fantasy VII Advent Children", apparently without proper permission (although a disclaimer appears on the video). In April, the Seoul Central District Court banned the music video from being shown on television, stating that "most of the clip is noticeably similar to scenes from the film" [Kim, Tong-hyong.
