Ivy St. Helier (b. 1886 in
St Helier ,Jersey , d. 1971 inLondon ,England ) was a British stageactress ,composer and lyricist.On the stage, Ivy played Manon la Crevette in the original production of
Noel Coward 'soperetta "Bitter Sweet " (1929), a role she reprised in the 1933 film version. As a lyricist, she wrote songs for "The Street Singer" to a score byFrederick Lonsdale , and wrote additional songs for "The Blue Train ", the London musical byReginald Arkell ,Dion Titheradge andRobert Stolz .She made just five films, including
Laurence Olivier 's "Henry V" (1944) and "London Belongs to Me " (1948).External links
