Peter Jones was an Australian Rugby League Player, and now behind the scenes in the sport. He is most famous for playing for the North Queensland Cowboys from 1995-2002, where he is now Recruitment Manager. He is listed by the [http://www.cowboys.com.au Cowboys] as one of their players of the decade. Peter played his early football for Tully Tigers Junior Rugby League.

With the Cowboys, he gained a reputation as a strong lock for the club. In his debut year he was found to be a top quality running utility forward. He was signed up by the Cowboys to bolster the club into its playing future. Peter possessed a strong football mind to run up the ball while getting away offloads. He also had additional gameplay features possessing a good general kicking game and a high aerial bomb.
