"b"mobile is a Caribbean mobile telecommunications brand, offered by Cable & Wireless (Caribbean) and its affiliated companies. The company re-branded its mobile services, using the name "b"mobile throughout the region in 2003, and the brand's colour green has become synonymous with mobile services across the islands. It is one of the most recognized brands in the Caribbean.

"b"mobile's largest competitor is Digicel.

Markets

The company operates and works in several Caribbean markets including: Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Grenada, Jamaica, Montserrat, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago and the Turks and Caicos Islands. They have recently received their license to operate in the British Virgin Islands on May 26th 2007, in which they have captured thousands of customers in the short time period to date.

BMOBILE has endorsed several Caribbean and international stars to promote their products and services. Celebrities such as Bunji Garlin, Machel Montano, Beenie Man, Red Hot Flames, and Shurwayne Winchester - all soca stars, Dil E Nadan - a chutney band, Brian Lara - international cricket superstar, Dwight Yorke and Russell Latapy - T&T footballers, Rihanna - Bajan R&B singer all endorse bmobile.

British Virgin Islands

"B"mobile won one of the three franchises to offer cellular telephone services in the British Virgin Islands in 2007. [ [http://www.bviplatinum.com/news.php?page=article&aid=2723 BVI Platinum news, 26 May 2007] ] However, rival operator Digicel issued court proceedings against the British Virgin Islands regulator, arguing that he had acted improperly by imposing a limit of three licenses (one of which was awarded to a local Cable Television company and has not been exercised). "B"mobile was joined to the suit as an interested party. Digicel has commenced separate proceedings against Cable and Wireless (as "b"mobile's parent company) in the English courts, claiming that Cable & Wireless has unfairly stifled competition in several Caribbean jurisdictions. Partnerships

ezetop - On August 3rd 2007, Cable & Wireless Jamaica, bmobile signed an agreement with ezetop [http://www.ezetop.com] to provide mobile credit to the Diaspora across the world. Top-Up will be available in retail stores in the US, the UK and online at their website.
