Aarhus Festuge

Aarhus Festuge (Danish: Århus Festuge) literally translated to "Aarhus Partyweek" is a yearly arts and culture festival in the city of Aarhus, Denmark. The festival was established in 1964, debuted in 1965 and has since then become one the largest themed festivals in northern Europe.

Every year a subject is chosen as the overall theme of the festival and exhibits and venues are planned accordingly. In 2006 the theme was "Women and women's culture", in 2007 it will be "Dance". The festival covers subjects ranging from dance, theater, exhibits, classical and rhythmic concerts, opera, children's culture, sport and entertainment. The many regular venues repeated yearly are supplemented by the theme-inspired venues which change according to the selected theme of that year.
