Employment Relations Act 1999

The Employee Relations Act 1999 is a British law. The law provides compensation for unfair dismissal and The act allows workers to receive at least 3 months unpaid leave for the purpose of caring for a child. Mothers can have up to 18 weeks paid maternity leave. Independent unions can claim recognition for collective bargaining from any business with more than 20 employees.
