Zhombe

Zhombe

Zhombe (formerly known as "Jombe") is a village in the province of Midlands, Zimbabwe. It is located about 55 km north-west of Kwekwe and 100km south-east of Gokwe.Well known growth points in Zhombe,1.St Andrews ...most of the shops there are owned by a well known businessman Mr Choga also known as "Skondai"2.Mushange, this point is a bit dangerous especially during the festive season. Used to be a well known growth point but now.....it has lost its cool.3.St Georges, this growth point started off with only one shop owned by Nedhi...for years people who live in or around had only Nedhi to take care of them. The place was very remote but in 2000, some fellow bought a place at the point and built a much bigger shop, grinding mills and in no time, it became a well known growth point known in the book of Samambwa.4.Bhamala, this used to be the biggest growth point, much bigger than the mentioned 3. had a lot of shops around it. one would get anything at this growth point but for a much higher price of course. The place is surronded by "Makorokoza" so the people there are not worried about spending but like mushange, it also has lost its cool
