Tropical Storm Dot

The name Dot was used to name tropical cyclones in the Western North Pacific and Central North Pacific.

In the Central North Pacific, Dot was borrowed from the Western North Pacific name list twice;
*1959's Hurricane Dot - a Category 4 hurricane that made landfall on Hawaii
*1970's Hurricane Dot - second farthest north a hurricane has formed

In the Western North Pacific, Dot was used for
*a 1955 storm of unknown strength
*1961's Typhoon Dot - a typhoon that affected Iwo Jima
*1964's Typhoon Dot - a typhoon that made landfall twice, and affected the Philippines, Hong Kong and eastern China
*1967's Tropical Storm Dot - a tropical storm that affected the Ryūkyū Islands in its latter stages
*1973's Typhoon Dot - made landfall just east of Hong Kong on the Chinese mainland
*1976's Tropical Storm Dot - scraped the coast of China near Shanghai before making landfall while dissipating on the Korean Peninsula
*1979's Tropical Storm Dot - affected most of The Philippines
*1982's Typhoon Dot - made landfall as a tropical depression in China.
*1985's Super Typhoon Dot - first warning issued when the storm was east-northeast of Yap, it made landfall and maintained typhoon strength through the Philippines before brushing the southern coast of Hainan and making a second landfall in Vietnam
*1989's Typhoon Dot - followed a path similar to the 1985 supertyphoon, but it made landfall on Hainan, weakening before a third landfall in Vietnam
*1990's Typhoon Dot - made landfalls in Taiwan and China
*1993's Typhoon Dot - made landfall in The Philippines. Turned away from Hainan at the last moment to make landfall on mainland China.
