Seckman High School is a metro St. Louis area high school located at 2800 Seckman Rd. in
Imperial, Missouri and is one of two high schools in the Fox C-6 School District. Seckman HS opened in 1997 and graduated its first Senior Class in1999 . In the fall of 2004, a new academic wing was opened that included an observatory. Ironically, the equipment for the observatory had been in storage since the previous observatory had been removed to build the high school. In 2007, construction began on a new 21 classroom (one existing classroom will have to be removed for a hallway that will connect the new wing) wing to be completed for the start of the 2008-2009 school year. The new wing will be able to house a grand total of 1900 students for the entire school. Although the total for next school year will be around 1850 students with about 435 in the graduating class.
The school colors and mascot were voted on by students prior to the school's opening. Blue and gold beat out choices like maroon and white. The mascot of the Jaguar beat out selections such as the Spartans; Seminoles; and Longhorns, the original mascot of the campus.
Seckman's high school rival is Fox High School. Seckman has multiple principals. Seckman High School has teams in the following sports: track, cross country, football, basketball, golf, soccer, wrestling, and more.
