Sean Padrick Hayes is an American
singer-songwriter .Born on August 27, 1969 in
New York City , a few years later the Hayes family moved toNorth Carolina . Sean began playing traditional American and Irish music with a band called the Boys of Bluehill. He traveled the south, from the Black Mountain Music festival (LEAF Festival) in theBlueridge Mountains down toCharleston, South Carolina and eventually found his way toSan Francisco .Sean Hayes has lived in
San Francisco since 1992, he has released five independent records, appeared on NPR'sAll Things Considered , KCRW'sMorning Becomes Eclectic , andWFUV 's Whole Wide World with Rita Houston. He is a frequent guest of the acclaimed Los AngelesLargo (nightclub) and has played musicians such asJolie Holland ,Ara Anderson ,Etienne de Rocher ,Todd Roper ,Rob Reich ,Shahzad Ismaily andChes Smith .Hayes' music gained additional exposure through the re-mix of his song "Rattlesnake Charm" by
Mark Farina and Stephane Pompougnac onHôtel Costes, Vol. 8 . His song "3 A.M." is also featured on the soundtrack for the television showKyle XY and his song "A Thousand Tiny Pieces ", performed byThe Be Good Tanyas , has appeared on the television showBrothers & Sisters (2006 TV series) . In addition, his song "Turnaroundturnmeon " is part of , an album curated byNatalie Portman to benefit the anti-poverty organizationFINCA .
