Vega attended school in
Trimbach and went on to study for a degree in Banking and Management at the Zurich Business School.Club career
Vega began his career in
Zurich with the Grasshoppers Football Club, a Swiss First Division team in 1989, winning league titles and cups with the team. After the Euro 1996 inEngland , he was signed byCagliari Calcio in theSerie A . Staying there for just seven months, he moved in 1997 to Tottenham Hotspur, a Premier league football team, for a transfer fee of £3.75 million. Vega won theWorthington Cup with Spurs in 1999. In 2000, he moved to Celtic Football Club, a Scottish Premier league football team where he won three trophies in six months. Vega ended his career with Watford in Division One of the English league.National team career
He first played for
Switzerland in 1993, subsequently playing for his country in the World Cup in 1994 in the USA. Vega also played in Euro 1996 inEngland . His national team career spanned over 28 caps.Vega also captained

After his retirement, Vega became a founding member of the Duet Group (2002), a financial group specialising in asset management and private equity. In 2006, Vega also founded the Matterhorn Capital Rosalp, a Swiss real estate company focusing on the development of luxury hotels worldwide. The first hotel to be developed will be in
Verbier ,Switzerland .Vega also opened "Ramon Vega's Soccer School" in
