She helped run and performed at the Troubadour Folk Club in the late 1960s. She also performed in the stage musical "Hair" and sang with the
Strawbs .Curved Air had a changing line-up over its nine
album s (1970 - 1976 and 1990), and Sonja was the only member to take part in every line-up.After Curved Air she returned to "Hair" for a second spell. Since then she has performed solo, including her involvement with the
acid folk movement inLondon in the early 1990s, culminating in her critically acclaimed "Songs from the Acid Folk" in 1991, and recently in multi-media duo MASK, along withMarvin Ayres .In 2008 she is taking part in a series of Curved Air reunion concerts.
