Cathedral School is an Institution, established and administered by the Catholic Diocese of Lucknow, a religious and charitable society engaged in Educational, Medical and Social Work in 8 districts of Lucknow and is registered under the Registration of Societies Act No. XXI of 1860. The school is situated in the centre of Hazratganj, Lucknow.It is an unaided, co-educational institution with strong emphasis on moral development of children.
History
The school was founded in the year 1950 under the patronage of St. Joseph and is primarily meant for the Catholics, but admission is open to all, irrespective of caste, creed and religion. The school gets its name from the Cathedral Of St. Joseph which is a magnificent structure in its own right. The school was recently upgraded to class XIIth level and is affliated to the CBSE board. The motto of the school is "dio et patriae".
