WRBL (Wee-Rebel Radio), from whichWRBL TV 3 and WRBL FM 102.9 sprang. The station was a mixture of MoR music, personality, sports and local/network news. The music was phased out with the advent ofFM . It becameWRCG (Radio Columbus Georgia) when the TV and radio went their separate ways. October 19 ,2007 , theFederal Communications Commission granted WRCG a construction permit to become a Class D station with a lower-powered (79 Watt) non-directional single tower nighttime signal. This permit expires onOctober 19 ,2010 .References
