Patterk Netser was born in Coral Harbour, Nunavut, Canada. Netser is currently the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for the electoral district of Nanulik having won the seat in the 2004 Nunavut election.

Prior to becoming an MLA in the Legislative Assembly of Nunavut Netser was involved in local and territorial education as a member of the Coral Harbour District Education Authority and the regional education board.
