T Cooper is an American novelist. Cooper is the author of two novels, "Some of the Parts" (Akashic Books, 2002) and "Lipshitz Six, or Two Angry Blondes" (
Dutton/Penguin , 2006). Cooper is also co-editor of the anthology "A Fictional History of the United States with Huge Chunks Missing" (Akashic Books, 2006).Cooper was born in
Los Angeles, California , and earned an undergraduate degree fromMiddlebury College in 1994. Cooper received an MFA in fiction writing fromColumbia University and has twice been a fellow of theMacDowell Colony , and has also attended Ledig House International. Cooper currently lives inNew York City .Since the publication of "Lipshitz Six", Cooper has received significant positive critical attention, including a positive review in "
The New York Times Book Review " and being placed on both "Time Out New York" magazine's list of "25 New Yorkers to Keep an Eye On in 2006" and "Out" magazine's "100 Men and Women Who Rocked 2006" list.
