Poland .It belongs to the county of (Gmina) Małkinia Górna, (
Powiat Ostrowski ) in the state ofMazowsze Voivodship .The village, which lies close to the river
Western Bug , attained notoriety during theHolocaust through theTreblinka extermination camp . The commandant of the death camp wasFranz Stangl , among others. Treblinka was the first death camp to experience an uprising against the SS on 2 August 1943. As a result of theWarsaw Ghetto uprising , survivors were sent to Treblinka, where they developed again into resistance groups, and then planned and executed the uprising.External links
