Luzzara is a commune in the province of Reggio Emilia, in Emilia-Romagna, Italy. It is located at the northern end of the province and is bounded by the river named Po to the north as well as the provinces of Mantua and the region of Lombardy.

Luzzara is the birthplace of the famous film director and writer Cesare Zavattini. It is also the place where an important battle in the Spanish War of Succession was fought on August 15 1702. See Battle of Luzzara.
