Gonzaga is a "comune" (municipality) in the Province of Mantua in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 140 km southeast of Milan and about 25 km south of Mantua. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 8,591 and an area of 49.8 km².All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat.]

The municipality of Gonzaga contains the "frazioni" (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Palidano and Bondeno.

Gonzaga borders the following municipalities: Luzzara, Moglia, Pegognaga, Reggiolo, Suzzara.
