History

Oppressed by the Line started as Of Normandy, a lo-fi 4-track tape recording project for guitarist Jon Thompson.

Over the next 3 years, it evolved into more of an electronic project and in 2004 Oppressed by the Line moved from Houston to London and started playing live shows supporting such acts as Hood, The Telescopes, Client, Sing-Sing, Logh and Epic45.

In 2006 Oppressed by the Line released his debut, "The Cause of the Colour" on Club AC30 records and released the follow-up "Soft Focus" in 2008 on Drifting Falling records.
