Elena Maria Vidal (1962- ) Catholic author, historian and lecturer on faith and history, living in State College,
Pennsylvania . She is an author whose research has corrected previous misconceptions aboutMarie Antoinette and theFrench Revolution . Vidal's novel "Trianon" ("St Michaels Press",1997) is anhistorical novel of the true story ofKing Louis XVI andMarie Antoinette , based on actual correspondences between real figures fromFrench history who are the main characters in the story. Vidal's novels include:

*Madame Royale" (Neumann Press, 2000)
*Soon Will Come the Dawn" (scheduled 2007) "Madame Royale" is ahistorical novel and sequel to "Trianon". Set in the age of theFrench Revolution , it depicts the life of the daughter ofLouis XVI andMarie-Antoinette ,Princess Marie-Therese-Charlotte , theDuchess of Angouleme , and her search for her brother,Louis XVII , the lost Dauphin. In the same manner as its predecessor, this book corrects many previous historical misconceptions and inspires faith.
