James Drew "Jimmy" Anderson (born January 22, 1976 in Portsmouth, Virginia) is a starting pitcher who played most recently in the Florida Marlins organization. From by|1999 through by|2004, Anderson played for the Pittsburgh Pirates (1999-by|2002), Cincinnati Reds (by|2003), Chicago Cubs (2004] ) and Boston Red Sox (2004). He bats and throws left-handed. In a six-season major league career, Anderson has posted a 25-47 record with 241 strikeouts and a 5.42 ERA in 574 2/3 innings pitched.
