Beatbullying

Beatbullying is an anti-bullying charity based in Crystal Palace, London, England. Beatbullying provides workshops for young people throughout the UK to educate them that bullying is wrong and not a part of growing up as well helping them develop coping mechanisms. It also provides online resources such as the [http://www.bbclic.com/ bbclic] .

After working with Beatbullying incidences of bullying are reduced by 39% and reporting of bullying increases by 60%. Fact|date=March 2007

Beatbullying is Anti-bullying Alliance co-ordinator for South London.

Awards and notable events

In 2006 Beatbullying won Charity of the Year at the Charity Times Awards.

At the UK Charity Awards in 2005, Beatbullying won Charity of the Year and Children's Charity of the Year, and was also nominated for Best New Charity of the Year. The [http://www.bbclic.com/ bbclic] was nominated for an award at the 9th annual Webby Awards.

On February 21, 2006 Local Government Minster, David Miliband, mentioned Beatbullying in his speech about devolving power to local communities, at the annual conference of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations. There was a pop-up linking on the website for the 2004 Big Brother series to a game provided by Beatbullying.

Patrick Stewart and Warner Bros., alongside the 2006 release of "", made posters for the movie supporting "Beatbullying"

Key Supporters

Beatbullying has received support from Lovells Law Firm and Frank PR. Beatbullying on occasions has received volunteers from the London School of Economics' Volunteer Centre.
