Bessingham

Bessingham

Bessingham is a village and civil parish in the North Norfolk district of the English county of Norfolk. It lies 8 miles north-north-west of Aylsham and 5 miles south-south-west of Cromer, and is in the Erpingham Hundred.

The church, St. Mary's, has a round tower and, both inside the building and in the graveyard, there are several memorials to the Spurrell family.

Bessingham Manor House, built in the early 1800s, was the home of one branch of the Spurrell family for several generations.
