KFTV is a full-power television station in Hanford, California, serving the Fresno area as a Univisión-owned and operated station. KFTV broadcasts locally on channel 21, and airs Spanish-language entertainment programming.

History

In 1962, Fresno's Channel 21 was home to an English-language independent station, KDAS-TV. The station survived for two years before leaving the air in 1964. In 1965, Channel 21 briefly returned to the air as the short lived English language independent KSJV-TV. After KSJV ceased broadcasting, Channel 21 would not return to the air until 1972, after Univisión acquired a construction permit and began broadcasting as KFTV.

Sharing studios in Fresno, California with sister-station KTFF, KFTV serves California's central valley with its full-power signal, and several low-power translator stations.
