Carola Unterberger-Probst (born
9 May 1978 inSalzburg ), aka [cup] or Carola Unterberger, is an internationally knownAustria n media artist and philosopher of art. In addition tovideo installation s andexperimental film s, her work contains Objet d'art,painting s anddigital art . She specializes in thepostmodern discourse ,deconstruction , and questions on media and the arts. Unterberger-Probst was born in 1978 in the city ofSalzburg . She studied at the Art University of Linz and at the Paris London University of Salzburg. Additionally, she undertook study trips toParis ,London ,Hamburg andCologne .Her work has been displayed at exhibitions, screenings and festivals, such as the Ars Electronica Festival, and LinzFest; Transpublic, Posthof Linz, Kliemsteinhaus Linz, Galerie Palais Mannstorff, Wyspa Danzig, and Witte de With Rotterdam; the Netherland TV station NOS, and the Austrian TV station ORF; and in an Upperaustrian newspaper. She has received the 2005 National Culture Prize for "Art of Intercultural Dialogue for Media." She has been a guest at various events, such as the film festival Youki, Kinderfreunde Austria, Women's IT Summer Studies, Capturing the . . .Truth? (Berlinale 2005), and the Congress of the German Society of Semiotics.
