Vila Nova de Foz Côa (pron. IPA2|'vilɐ 'nɔvɐ dɨ fɔʃ 'koɐ) is a city and a municipality in Portugal with a total area of 398.2 km² and a total population of 8,249 inhabitants.City population [approx.] 3,300Main rivers: the Douro and the Côa.The municipality is composed of 17 parishes, and is located in the District of Guarda.

The mucicipality includes parts in the Côa Valley Archaeological site, declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, which partially shares with Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo, Meda and Pinhel also located in Guarda district.

The closest train station is Pocinho in the Douro Valley/linha do Douro.

The present Mayor is Emílio António Pessoa Mesquita, elected by the Socialist Party.
