This is a discography of AC/DC, a Sydney, Australia-based hard rock band. Since 1975, AC/DC have released 14 studio albums, 4 albums issued in Australia only, 5 live recordings, 13 video collections of concerts and music videos, and 7 box sets. Although a large number of AC/DC singles have been released, the band always refused to release any greatest hits type packages; [cite web | url = http://shopping.guardian.co.uk/christmas2001/story/0,,595842,00.html | title = Greatest hits round-up | work = guardian.co.uk | date = 2001-11-16 | first = John | last = Aizlewood | accessdate = 2008-04-25] "Who Made Who", which served as the soundtrack to Stephen King's "Maximum Overdrive", and the band's various live recordings are about as close as the group have come to such a compilation. AC/DC was formed in 1973 by brothers Angus and Malcolm Young, and released two albums in Australia before releasing their first international effort, "High Voltage" with vocalist Bon Scott, bassist Mark Evans and drummer Phil Rudd. In 1980, Bon Scott died a year after the release of the successful "Highway to Hell", and was replaced by British singer Brian Johnson, with whom AC/DC released their best selling album, "Back in Black".cite web | title = Top 100 Albums | work = Recording Industry Association of America | url = http://www.riaa.com/goldandplatinumdata.php?table=tblTop100 | accessdate = 2008-04-24] Their last album to date, "Stiff Upper Lip", was released in 2000. A new album (Black Ice) was announced in 2005, [cite web | url = http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=35867 | title = AC/DC Singer BRIAN JOHNSON: "New Album's Gotta Be Perfect" | work = Blabbermouth.net | date = 2005-04-24 | accessdate = 2008-04-24] and confirmed to be released on October 20, 2008.cite web | url = http://www.acdc.com/news/news.php?uid=17 | title = AC/DC Set To Release New Album This Year | work = AC/DC official website | accessdate = 2008-04-19 | date = 2008-04-18]

In 35 years of career, AC/DC sold over 200 million albums worldwide, roughly 70 million in the US. Back In Black alone sold 22 million (42 million worldwide), and is the 5th best selling album in the U.S. and 2nd worldwide.
