Inventive Leisure

Inventive Leisure is a high street managed pub estate with headquarters in Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester, England. The investment company Alchemy Partners bought a majority share in January 2006.

The bars trade under the name Revolution. There are 46 outlets spread across the UK. The 47th in York opens on 20th April 2007. Approximately one-third of the estate is freehold.

History

Inventive Leisure was founded by Roy Ellis and Neil Macleod in 1991. They floated in 2000 with 21 outlets, which had grown to 44 outlets in 2006 when Alchemy Partners acquired a 69% share. In the year to 30 June 2005, Inventive Leisure made £7.3m profit on a £45m turnover.

As well as owning the Revolution chain, the firm owned a number of nightclubs in the Greater Manchester area as well as a pool bar called The Player
