Buncom played for seven seasons in the
American Football League , with theSan Diego Chargers and theCincinnati Bengals from 1962 to 1968. He was a three time AFL All-Star, in 1964, 1965, and 1967. He is a member of the Chargers Hall of Fame. He died in 1969 in his sleep the night before the Bengals' opening game.High School Career
