Gary Green (born
November 20 ,1950 inStroud Green ,North London ,England ) is a British musician. During the 1970s, he was theguitarist for theprogressive rock bandGentle Giant . Green was with the band from the debut album "Gentle Giant" all the way to the last album "Civilian". Green's style was different from most of his peers, being a more "blues " based guitarist. Like his other band members, Green was also adept at other instruments, including mandolin and recorder among others.Later on, he was a member of the band Mother Tongue.
In recent years, Green has been working with

roadie forSoft Machine in the early 1970s and later played withElton Dean .Green is the only ex-member of Gentle Giant still actively playing and recording.
