Ricky Swallow is an Australian sculptor born in San Remo, Victoria in 1974. He creates painstakingly detailed pieces and installations in a variety of media and was the Australian representative at the 2005 Venice Biennale with "This Time Another Year". Swallow is well known for his careful craftsmanship and conceptual ideas in his works in relation to the contemporary society. His works are described as models, miniatures, replicas, copies, dioramas, homages, mementos, monuments and simulacra.
