Military budget of Canada
- Military budget of Canada
The military budget of Canada is determined by the Government of Canada in the annual federal budgets. Total spending on military matters has increased overall from the 1990s to the 2000s. In 2004, the Department of National Defence received $14.3 billion CAD in funding, or 6.8% of all federal spending. This amount was notably higher than most other program expenses of other federal departments. It was increased to $14.6 billion in the 2005-06 budget and by 2008-09 was projected to be $18.9 billion.
