The school is co-educational, and is well known for its performing arts and sporting achievements. It was the first school in Australia to offer the
International Baccalaureate .The school currently has plans for the introduction of a new uniform. This has been met with a very mixed reaction from the school community.St Leonard's College has six house groups: Allen (Yellow), Cullen (Green), Munro (Blue), Forster (Red), McMeekin (purple) and Newman (Aqua). All have a Head of House. The Upper, Middle and Junior schools have individual Heads. Mr. Kerry Bolger is the Head of the Cornish Campus.Campuses
Brighton: Brighton Campus is the colleges main campus, catering for kindergarten to year 12.The campus is situated on South Road, in
Brighton East .Cornish: The Cornish Campus named after Richard B. Cornish, is the schools other campus that caters from years prep to 10, children move to the Brighton campus to complete years 11 and 12.
