It is the closest station to theNational Maritime Museum , the formerGreenwich Hospital , theGreenwich foot tunnel , Greenwich's town centre, covered market and other tourist attractions. On maps it is labelled as Cutty Sark forMaritime Greenwich .It is the first station south of the
River Thames and, as the DLR passes under the river in a tunnel, it is below ground. Along with the other four stations on theLewisham extension, it is in Travelcard Zones 2 and 3.The station opened on
