Great Bentley ,Essex ,England . It is located on theSunshine Coast Line , a branch of theGreat Eastern Main Line betweenColchester and the seaside towns ofWalton-on-the-Naze andClacton-on-Sea and provides services to those destinations. Train services are provided byNational Express East Anglia .The station has two main platforms. The up side platform is for services towards Colchester, while the down side platform is for services towards Clacton.
Unlike the nearest stations in each direction, the original station house here is still in use. The ticket clerk is also responsible for moving the
level crossing gates each time a train passes. National Rail are currently carrying out a £100 million pound engineering work scheme on the Sunshine Coast line (Colchester to Clacton) which includes replacing the manual railway gates with automatic gates controlled from Colchester.External links
