- Krishnamurti's Notebook
Krishnamurti's Notebook is a diary by
Jiddu Krishnamurti .He began this record on June
1961 inLos Angeles , and continued it for seven months. The diary describes Krishnamurti's world from the inside—in particular his experience of the manifestations of a state which he refers to as "the otherness". It ends as suddenly as it begins.
Mary Lutyens wrote in the foreword to the book: "In this unique daily record we have what may be called the well-spring of Krishnamurti's teaching. The whole essence of his teaching is here, arising from its natural source." She also wrote that "one gleans from it sommething of what it must be like to be inside the consciousness of this exraordinary being. It is probably the nearest one will ever get to him" (Lutyens 1983)*"Krishnamurti's Notebook", originally published 1976, Krishnamurti Publications of America expanded 2004 hardcover edition: ISBN 978-1-888004-57-1, paperback edition: ISBN 978-1-888004-63-2
