Bintang Mountains

Bintang Mountains (Banjaran Bintang in Malay) is a mountain range located within the state of Perak, Malaysia. It runs from southern Thailand in the north to the general south of Perak. Titiwangsa Mountains stands to the east of the range. Several of the more prominent peaks that are part of the range are Bukit Bokbak (1199 m), Gunung Bintang (1882 m), Gunung Inas (1801 m) and Gunung Ulu Jernih (1577 m).It is the (Back-bone)for West Malaysia.It is also the longest mountain range in west Malaysia.Its distance is 480km and its height is about 900 meter to 2 100meter above sea-level.It is also know as the (Banjaran Besar)in Malysian language.Mount. Korbu is it's highest peak at (2 182 meter) above sea-level.It has three major tourist destination which is Cameron Highland,Genting Highland and Fraser hill.The other mountain range in west Malaysia is the Nakawan mountain range,Kedah-Singgora mountain range,Bintang mountain range , Keledang mountain range, Benom mountain range, Tahan mountain range, and Pantai Timur mountain range.
