Wharton Field House is an outdoor
arena inMoline, Illinois . It hosted theNBA 'sTri-Cities Blackhawks from 1946 until they left forMilwaukee in 1951, and the CBA'sQuad City Thunder from 1987 until the team moved its home games to theMARK of the Quad Cities (now known as the i wireless Center) in 1993. The arena holds 6,000 people and was built in 1928. It is the current home of the Moline Maroons, the local high school team, and in January 2008 it will be home to theQuad City Riverhawks of thePremier Basketball League . The high school also holds its graduation there. In 2004,USA Today named it one of the top places to watch high school basketball.
