It was won by the Albertan foursome headed byRandy Ferbey . Ferbey threw third stones throughout the tournament while his mate (third)David Nedohin threw skip (or fourth) stones. The other two members of the team were secondScott Pfeifer and LeadMarcel Rocque .The Ferbey team beat the young

As always, there were a scattering of individual awards at the competition, though they were not (and in fact, are still not) considered important by fans, media, or players, as the team element of the game of curling is held in such esteem. The bonspeil's All-Stars were as follows (First Team All-Stars followed by Second Team All-Stars):
Skips:
David Nedohin (Alberta ) and John Morris (Ontario ) Thirds:Joe Frans (Ontario ) andRandy Ferbey (Alberta ) Seconds:Scott Pfeifer (Alberta ) andCraig Savill (Ontario ) Leads:Kelly Moskowy (Saskatchewan ) andMarcel Rocque (Alberta )The MVP Award, called the "
Hec Gervais Award" went toDavid Nedohin These individual awards suggest a level of dominance by the two final teams that is perhaps not reflective of the closeness in the round robin standings.
