(IPW:UK), World Association of Wrestling (WAW) and SAS Wrestling (SAS) are the promotions working under the RQW banner.

The promotion currently holds four championships (made in Reggie Parks Championship Belts in the USA), RQW Heavyweight Championship, RQW Womens Championship, RQW Crusierweight Championship and RQW British Tag Team Championships (now known as Unified British Tag Team Championship).

The company's headquarters and training school are located in Dagenham, Essex. RQW's sister company, "Spectrum Multimedia" (also owned by Len Davies), are responsible for the creation of their TV programming, DVDs, music and Show Graphics.

Company history

2005-2006

Real Quality Wrestling was established in 2005 by professional wrestling promoter, Lloyd Ryan and professional wrestler, Phil Powers. Len Davies quickly replaced Ryan and Powers left the company in 2006, leaving Davies to become the majority owner and chairman.

The company's first high profile event was "A New Beginning" which took place at Waltham Abbey, London on November 18, 2005 and had implications on its future with the winner of the Battle Royal (Eamon O'Neill) getting the chance at Heavyweight Championship glory.

The company soon had two championships made in 2006 by Reggie Parks Championship Belts in the USA, RQW Heavyweight Championship and RQW Womens Championship. These were then won by Robbie Brookside (defeated Billy Kidman) and Erin Angel (defeated Sweet Saraya) at "A Night of Champions" on April 29, 2006.

On January 28, 2006 "No Pain - No Gain" was held at The Fleming Park Leisure Centre in Eastleigh, Southampton which had implications on its future with the winner of its main event going on to meet Eamon O'Neill for the newly created RQW Heavyweight Championship. Domino defeated Phil Powers, UK Kid and Hade Vansen (who had defeated Spiro earlier in the night to get the chance to participate) in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match.

It was announced that RQW would hold back on producing any show during the FIFA World Cup 2006 but would return with an event known as "Summer Brawl". The event would involve Pro Wrestling NOAH stars, Go Shiozaki and SUWA. Summer Brawl would also see a match to determin cruiserweight ranking within the promotion with the top 4 getting a future chance at becoming the first ever "RQW Crusierweight Champion".

The company would be involved in the inter-promotional British National Under 23's Championship on November 18, 2006. Bubblegum was to represent RQW in the tournament to crown the first champion.

In November, 2006, Real Quality Wrestling secured the prestigious York Hall, a premier Boxing venue in Bethnal Green, London for events leading into 2007. The company would also be given the permission to use the venue to host monthly shows which would be featured as TV Tapings for the promotions TWC show. This change of location gave new life to the promotion who began to change its image from a mere promotion to consider itself a concept in wrestling.

The first York Hall event under RQW was on November 11 and was known as "Rebirth".

On December 4, 2006, TWC (now known as The Fight Network) announced that it would be regularly showing RQW as part of its line-up on Wednesdays at 23:00. The airing of RQWTV soon stopped in 2008.

RQW's second event at York Hall was on December 16 and was known as "Not Just For Christmas", the event was in association with the national charity, Crisis, where the tickets for the show were being given out for free as a Christmas present. The event featured an inter-promotional tournament to crown the new "RQW Heavyweight Champion"; which Martin Stone won, making him the company's new heavyweight champion as well as their representative into the King of Europe Cup tournament.

2007-2008

During 2007 the company soon had another two championships made by Reggie Parks Championship Belts, RQW Cruiserweight Championship and RQW British Tag Team Championship (now known as Unified British Tag Team Championship).

A week prior to "No Pain - No Gain 2007" on January 12, fellow British promotion 1 Pro Wrestling went into liquidation; meaning that their proposed January 13 show "No Turning Back", featuring the UK debut of The Great Muta (Keiji Mutoh), was to be cancelled. Immediately, supershow promoter Alex Shane jumped in to save the deal and, with the help of Len Davies, secured the appearance of Keiji Mutoh and other All Japan Pro Wrestling stars who were to be making the trip. [ [http://www.wrestling101.com/101/newsitem/3676/ "RQW: Latest Card For This Friday's Show Now Featuring Muta"] wrestling101.com] Despite needing to change the advertised card, Davies vowed to honour all tickets for the 1PW show as well as those printed specifically for RQW. Subsequently, Real Quality Wrestling became the first UK promotion to feature The Great Muta on their card. The show, known as "No Pain - No Gain 2007" would also see the first crowning of the RQW Crusierweight Championship (Bubblegum - he then vacated the title) as well as feature former WWE Superstar Kid Kash.

From February 17, 2007 until January 13, 2008, a tournament was held to crown the first ever RQW British Tag Team Champions, which Team Charming won.

In May 2007, Dean Ayass was made Head booker of Real Quality Wrestling.

It was announced during July that RQW would hold their live television tapings at The Mick Jagger Centre in Dartford, Kent. The first Mick Jagger Centre RQW event that was broadcast on TWC Fight! on Sky Channel 427 was "Summer Brawl 2007" which was carried on from the previous years, "Summer Brawl 2006".

"No Pain No Gain 2008" was the first show of 2008 and the main event saw Martin Stone and Brett Meadows face Ricky Knight and Zebra Kid in a "No Rules - Street Fight match" in which Stone and Meadows, won. Damned Nation also became new RQW British Tag Team Champions defeating Team Charming.

Martin Stone and Ulf Herman began a feud in Weinheim, Germany in November, 2007. The feud continued when Herman said a few weeks later, "He was not finished with Stone" and challenged him to a championship match for the February 9 ACW show. Stone accepted but wanted the match to be "A Winner Takes All match". Herman accepted and on February 9, 2008 Ulf Herman retained his ACW Championship and won the RQW Heavyweight Championship stripping Stone of his 1 year reign as heavyweight champion.

It was announced in April that World Association of Wrestling (WAW) and (IPW:UK) had made a deal that saw them become the two benchmark promotions under the Real Quality Wrestling banner. Each promotion earned a European television deal with a leading German TV station and potential worldwide recognition through planned license deals. It was announced a few weeks after that SAS Wrestling (SAS) were to be included in this deal as well.

A Six Sided Ring was purchased during 2008.
