Texas Senate is a senatorial district that currently serves portions of Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris and Jefferson counties in the U.S. state ofTexas . SenatorKyle Janek announced his resignation on May 29, 2008. GovernorRick Perry has called for a special election to fill the currently vacant seat on November 4, 2008.Election history
