Misery Weekly was a weekly humor publication based in Columbia, Missouri. It was started by two journalism students, Hayley Salvo and Leslie Timmons, in 2005.
The paper specialized in fake news stories fashioned in a similar vein to The Onion with a local/state focus. Several examples of articles include Matt Blunt being deposed as hillbilly king by West Virginia forward Kevin Pittsnogle and Air Bud joining the University of Missouri basketball team.
The paper printed its last issue on December 6, 2006. Archives of all the issues are located in the Ellis Library Archives on the University of Missouri campus.
