Gaudoin was the captain of "The Kookaburras" team that triumphed at the2002 Commonwealth Games , and won the silver medal at the2002 Men's Hockey World Cup inKuala Lumpur .Gaudoin was first selected to play for Australia in 1994 at the age of 18, and his rapid rise was capped with selection in the World Cup team of that year in
