Mark Dave Petchey (born 1 August 1970 in Loughton) is a former tennis player from England, who turned professional in 1988. The right-hander won one doubles title (1996, Nottingham) in his career. He reached his highest singles ATP-ranking on 8 August 1994, when he became the number 80 of the world. He previously coached Andy Murray.^[1]

He works for Sky Sports and the BBC, providing commentary and analysis for the ATP Tour tennis.

Petchey was educated at Forest School, a prominent public school in north-east London.

Andy Murray stated in 2008 that the first time he met Mark Petchey he faced him in a 3 set tennis match and beat him 6-0 6-0. Murray was just 15 at the time.

Mark recently attended the 'Barclays Ball Kids' national selection trials, along with Pat Cash at Westways Sports Centre in London, at which he helped choose some of the 30 ball kids for the ATP World Tour Finals this November.
